This is some of the feedback I’ve received on The Virgin’s Children.
The readers here include a ninety-seven year old woman, a gay man,
a Presbyterian pastor, and several women my age.
Hi Victoria -
Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for the book that was waiting for me at Dennine’s house the other day - I am sorry I was unable to attend your reading here in Brooklyn, but I hope I have made up for that by reading 2/3 of your book in one day - I am happy it rained all day yesterday, since I was unable to put down your book...
I hope you're already working on your next!
Thanks again, and good luck!
Bix

Enjoyed this book very much, very well written, the characters are certainly believable, a very gentle understanding glimpse of other lives. I thought the format was good - interspersed with a recipe every so often - a nice touch. I look forward to the next
book by this author.

Hey Tory,
I finished your book a couple of days ago, and
really enjoyed it. Some things just really stick in my mind, especially when
she spins out of the water like a mermaid. :) Some things made me all teary.
Thanks for the experience -- I think it's so cool that you wrote that!

Tory - I finished your book a few days after you left. Well done! I
loved the characters and the twists - especially at the end. I did seem
to see a bit of you and your life in the book.

Dear Tory, I hope you remember me. I gave a reading of my novel with you and Rosa at the Capitola Book Cafe. I have just finished reading you book, and it is absolutely WONDERFUL. You navigated the different viewpoints with great ease, you developed the lives of all your characters with absolute believability, and you tied them all together with great wit and imagination -- almost to the end, I said to myself, Where's Paul? And there he was, lurking. I wish for your book the recognition it deserves. Based on my own experiences, I am NOT going to lend it to anyone, merely exhort them to call their favorite book stores, order it, and insist they get it on their shelves.
Congratulations!

tory,
received the book, thanks, it was wonderful.
easy to read, the characters drew me in immediately, and i truly want to know the rest of their lives.
loved the tie in at the beginning and the end with the two stories, couple at the tree, and the bible reader on the streets, eye contact
T Bone seems to be a kid growing up as stable as any other kid these days, and that has much to do with the love and support of both parents,
the faith issues cause the reader to think in fresh ways about the message of Jesus,
thanks for writing,
edd
